Bringing Preventive Health Innovation to the Global Startup Stage
Lifesten Health recently participated in Web Summit Qatar, one of the world’s most influential technology gatherings that brings together startups, investors, policymakers, and innovators from across the globe.
The company’s co founders were among a select group of entrepreneurs whose ventures were chosen to attend the summit through the Open Startup program.

From Accelerator to Global Stage
Open Startup is a non profit organization that supports early stage founders across Africa and the Middle East through accelerator and investment readiness programs. Through mentorship, global connections, and funding opportunities, the program prepares startups to scale their solutions internationally.
Before attending Web Summit Qatar, Lifesten Health’s co founder and CEO Ogweno Stephen participated in the one year Open Startup training program. The program equipped founders with the tools needed to refine their business models, strengthen partnerships, and position their innovations for global markets.

Participating in Web Summit Qatar marked the culmination of this journey.
Sharing the Lifesten Vision
At the summit, Lifesten Health presented its vision of building a preventive health platform designed to reduce the burden of non communicable diseases.
The conversations centered around how digital tools can empower individuals to adopt healthier habits, detect early health risks, and ultimately reduce premature deaths linked to lifestyle related conditions.
For Lifesten Health, the summit was also an opportunity to connect with investors, global technology leaders, and potential partners interested in health innovation.

Exploring Opportunities in the Middle East
Beyond presenting the platform, the summit introduced the Lifesten team to the growing technology ecosystem in Qatar and the wider Middle East region. The region is investing heavily in digital health and preventative care, making it an important market for future expansion.
Participating in Web Summit Qatar reinforced the importance of building global partnerships while staying focused on solving real health challenges faced by communities.
