That’s exactly what we brought to the Be He@lthy, Be Mobile Exhibition at the Africa HealthTech Summit 2025 transforming a traditional health conference into a dynamic, movement-filled experience through the Lifesten 5K Steps-a-Day Challenge.
A Step Challenge That Moved 3,000+ Participants
Over 3,000 delegates joined our digital wellness challenge, tracking their steps through the Lifesten App during the three-day summit. Each participant could monitor their activity, appear on real-time leaderboards, and earn Lifesten Points redeemable for exciting rewards.
In just three days:
- The top participant walked an incredible 42 kilometers,
- Hundreds engaged in friendly competition, and
- Dozens earned points and badges for consistency and effort.
It wasn’t just about walking it was about reimagining what health engagement can look like in the digital age.
Gamification Meets Preventive Health
The challenge embodied what Lifesten stands for: making health management interactive, inclusive, and data-driven. By integrating step tracking, rewards, and leaderboards into a single experience, we showed how gamification can transform health behavior.

The challenge concluded with a well-deserved prize for our top performer, who earned a one-month premium gym membership at Zone Fitness Rwanda, one of Lifesten’s wellness partners.
