How Lifesten Health and WHO Brought Wellness to the Africa HealthTech Summit 2025

2–3 minutes

This year’s Africa HealthTech Summit (AHTS 2025) in Kigali wasn’t just about innovation it was about living health innovation.

Together with the World Health Organization’s Be He@lthy, Be Mobile initiative and other key partners, Lifesten Health transformed the conference into a vibrant wellness experience, making it the first of its kind in Africa where delegates didn’t just talk about health they experienced it.

A New Kind of Conference Experience

Traditionally, health conferences are full of presentations, panels, and formal discussions. But at AHTS 2025, Lifesten Health redefined the conference experience by merging wellness, technology, and active participation through the Be He@lthy, Be Mobile exhibition hub.

We brought a fully functional fitness hub right to the exhibition floor complete with:

  • Stationary gym bikes, weights, gym balls, and yoga mats
  • A cycling conference setup, allowing attendees to join sessions while pedaling for wellness
  • Nutrition and body composition stations led by certified nutritionists
  • Mental wellness lounges for relaxation and counseling
  • On-site nurses offering vital checks, diagnostics, and medical advice

Our aim was simple to make wellness active, practical, and accessible even in professional spaces.

Wellness in Action: What We Achieved

Over the course of the summit, our Be He@lthy Hub connected with more than 500 participants who engaged in:

  • Health screenings (including blood pressure, glucose, and stress index)
  • Nutrition assessments and consultations
  • Fitness challenges through the Lifesten App, where participants joined the 5K-a-Day Challenge and tracked their progress digitally
  • Mindfulness sessions led by licensed counselors

Each interaction showcased how digital health, AI screening, and gamification can transform preventive healthcare across Africa.

The result?
A conference hall filled with movement, laughter, and learning where every step, scan, and conversation advanced the vision of a healthier Africa.

Powered by Partnerships

This groundbreaking experience was made possible through powerful collaborations, including:

  • World Health Organization (WHO) and the Be He@lthy, Be Mobile initiative
  • Zone Fitness Rwanda – our physical activity partner
  • Nutri Santé – providing nutritional assessments and advice
  • Imanzi Counseling Centre – offering mental wellness consultations
  • Goodlife Clinics Rwanda – delivering on-site diagnostics and screenings

Together, we proved that health innovation thrives at the intersection of collaboration and creativity.
