At Lifesten Health, collaboration is at the heart of innovation. We’re excited to announce that we’ve partnered with the World Health Organization (WHO) under the Be He@lthy, Be Mobile (BHBM) initiative to bring a first-of-its-kind interactive health and wellness experience to the Africa HealthTech Summit (AHTS) 2025, taking place from October 13–15 at the Kigali Convention Centre in Rwanda.
This partnership represents a major step forward in our mission to make preventive healthcare accessible, engaging, and data-driven across Africa.
About the Africa HealthTech Summit 2025
Now in its fourth edition, the Africa HealthTech Summit (AHTS) brings together key leaders and innovators shaping the future of healthcare in Africa. Under the 2025 theme —
“Connected Care: Scaling Innovation Towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC)” — the summit explores how emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, cloud computing, robotics, and blockchain can help strengthen health systems and expand access to care.
From Ministers of Health and ICT to tech founders, investors, and researchers, AHTS 2025 will unite diverse stakeholders under one shared goal: accelerating digital transformation in African healthcare.

Lifesten Health x WHO: Bringing the Be He@lthy, Be Mobile Experience to Life
Through our partnership with the World Health Organization, and as part of a collaborative consortium led by Reach Digital Health, Lifesten Health will power the Be He@lthy Hub — an immersive, tech-enabled wellness space at AHTS 2025.
The Be He@lthy Hub will turn the traditional conference floor into an active, engaging health experience, featuring:
- Digital screenings using Lifesten’s AI-powered transdermal optical imaging (TOI) technology for real-time blood pressure and stress assessments.
- Wellness challenges including bike rides and step count competitions through the Lifesten app, rewarding participants for healthy activity.
- Nutrition and fitness assessments, including body composition tests and personalized wellness consultations.
- On-site mental health counseling and mindfulness activities guided by professional partners.
This partnership embodies the shared vision of Lifesten Health and Be He@lthy, Be Mobile: to combine digital innovation and behavioral change for long-term community wellness.

About the Be He@lthy, Be Mobile Initiative
The Be He@lthy, Be Mobile (BHBM) initiative — a joint program by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) — has been helping countries integrate mobile health (mHealth) tools into national health systems since 2012.
With over 7 billion mobile subscriptions worldwide, BHBM harnesses the power of mobile technology to prevent and manage noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. The initiative’s content library and implementation guides have already helped governments and organizations reach millions of people with evidence-based health messages, improving awareness and behavioral outcomes globally.
Lifesten Health’s participation marks a significant moment for Africa’s digital health ecosystem — showcasing how homegrown innovation can integrate with global public health frameworks to drive sustainable impact.
