Lifesten Health Showcases Preventive Health Innovation at the World Health Assembly in Geneva

2–3 minutes

Lifesten Health was honored to be part of this year’s World Health Assembly (WHA) held in Geneva, Switzerland, where global health leaders, policymakers, and innovators convened to discuss the future of healthcare worldwide.

Represented by our Co-founder and CEO, Ogweno Stephen, Lifesten joined influential conversations on how technology and innovation can transform preventive healthcare across Africa and the broader global community.

Representing African Innovation on the Global Stage

The World Health Assembly, organized by the World Health Organization (WHO), is the world’s highest-level health decision-making body. It brings together ministers, experts, and innovators to address pressing global health challenges and shape international policy.

This year, Lifesten Health was invited to participate in key networking and innovation sessions, showcasing how our AI-driven preventive health platform is helping individuals and organizations monitor, manage, and improve their health outcomes through digital solutions.

At the Forefront: Preventive Health and Technology

During the assembly, Lifesten Health engaged with leading global health and technology organizations — including Microsoft, Google Health, and other public health partners — to explore how digital transformation can accelerate progress in noncommunicable disease (NCD) prevention and wellness engagement.

We were also part of Google Health’s exclusive invite-only stakeholder event, where Lifesten shared its vision for democratizing preventive healthcare through AI, gamification, and behavior-driven engagement.

Our discussions focused on:

  • Leveraging AI-based facial screening (transdermal optical imaging) to provide accessible health assessments.
  • Empowering users through gamified wellness challenges that reward healthy habits.
  • Supporting governments and organizations with data-driven insights for NCD prevention.

Lifesten’s Vision for Preventive Health in Africa and Beyond

At Lifesten Health, our mission is clear — to make preventive healthcare accessible, engaging, and actionable for everyone.

Through our mobile app, users can:

  • Perform instant digital health screenings using only their smartphone camera.
  • Track and improve key health indicators such as blood pressure, stress index, and activity levels.
  • Join wellness challenges, earn points, and redeem rewards from health and wellness partners.
  • Access curated health content and connect with wellness communities.

Our participation at the World Health Assembly reflects Lifesten’s growing leadership in digital health innovation and our commitment to working with global partners to improve health outcomes in Africa and beyond.

Looking Ahead

As we continue to expand across the continent, Lifesten Health remains dedicated to building partnerships that accelerate universal access to preventive healthcare.

We believe that through collaboration, innovation, and community-driven engagement, we can make measurable progress toward reducing the global burden of noncommunicable diseases — one scan, one challenge, and one healthy habit at a time.
